All first time patients are put through a battery of tests, including

muscle function, an OptoMap®
Retinal Exam, glaucoma and cataract testing
to establish a baseline. Ongoing regular exams, look for trends

All exams include a computer analysis of your eyesight--
helping to determine the most accurate eyeglass prescription for you,
if needed.
Wellness eye exams may include an eyeglass prescription and animated
video
information regarding your neeeds. Medical eye care includes
treatment for
Glaucoma, red or dry eyes, corneal disorders, eye muscle and unusual
vision disturbances.

Color deficient people can restore hues better with x-chrome
lenses.
Corneal Refractive Therapy (CRT) corrects your
vision
while you sleep. Since approval in 2002, the FDA requires certification
to treat you with this therapy. Your children will love having

Children's Eye Care
We love caring
for children and make it fun during the visit. We take
special pride in working with educators, occupational therapists and
others in the community involved in sensory related learning
differences.
Children can see 20/20,
but still may not focus or use
their eyes properly. Thus, behavioral or learning problems, i.e, poor
reader, may arise and school performance suffers. We
non-medically treat children who have come to realize their
potential through vision

Diagnosis
We were one of the
first in Dallas to use the newest GDx Nerve
Fiber Analyzer, FDA approved in 2002. This tells us years
in
advance your probability of developing glaucoma. If
you have Glaucoma,
the newest anti-glaucoma medications will be prescribed.
Computerized
visual field testing is used to make sure your peripheral
vision is normal. Medications, brain tumors, and retinal problems
can show
up using these tests. A low cost screening is availalbe at exam
time!
Wavefront
topography looks
for and monitors corneal irregularities like
Keratoconus
, complications after Lasik, genetic disorders and other problems.
We can treat most of these cases using special contact lens designs.
Optomap Retinal Scans digitally images the inside part of your
eyes---without dilation.
This is especially useful in diabetic eye exams and people
with
family history of eye disease. Ask for this low cost screeing
at exam time!

Treatment
for eye disease and dry eyes
We prescibe medication If you suffer with allergies,
dry eyes or have an infection. Sometimes homeopathic remedies
may be used, if more appropriate.
'Pink eye' is a common problem and must be treated early,
so not to contaminate other people. If you notice any unusual
eye discharge, redness or pain--- call us we can usually see
you the same day!
Our practice accepts most major medical insurances or we can
submit it on your behalf!
