Corneal Refractive Therapy

The
LASIK alternative!
Since the 1960's
In 2002, the FDA approved Corneal Refractive Therapy (CRT) for treating nearsightedness and astigmatism. This is based on a 1960's technology called Orthokeratology (Ortho-K) -- a non-surgical method of improving your vision. These lenses are specially designed and fitted to naturally change the shape of the eye's front surface (cornea) to correct vision while you sleep at night.
Remove CRT
lenses upon wakening and see! Most people see 20/20 all day long as long as
CRT lenses are used! Unlike surgery, CRT is reversible.
Corneal Refractive Therapy
Is Safe
Dr.
Kurtin was one of the first, as required by the FDA, to be certified in treating
patients using this procedure. His Corneal Refractive Therapy program involves
formulating and using FDA approved materials that result in safe, effective
treatment. Corneal Refractive Therapy lenses can also be worn during the day
if necessary.
It's important to know, some doctors use off label, non-FDA approved designs,
due to costs--we do not.
Great
for active children, teens & adults
Corneal Refractive Therapy
is great for active
children (7 years old+), teens or adults who find eyeglasses
unattractive, contact lenses a hassle, and like to play sports or swim without
worrying about their eyesight. CRT actually may help decrease nearsighted changes
as they are worn. Perfect for people who want LASIK, but worry about their
results or just nervous about eye surgery!
Affordable
The initial CRT program fees, including required follow
up care, one pair of CRT lenses, corneal
mapping (topography) and instructions on use start at $724 per eye depending
on prescription and level of care. These fees no longer apply once you are successfully
in the program. Annual exams plus contact lens evaluations are required for
continued safe use.
You may
use any allowance or benefit, from your insurance or vision plan, to help pay
for CRT. This program qualifies for our 12-month, 0 % interest financing.
You can apply at the office or online in just a few minutes.
